Seesaw is a platform for student, parent, and teacher engagement with a mission to create an environment where students are inspired to be their best. Seesaw is built for teachers, by teachers.

What

Seesaw brought in Paladar for a strategic re-brand that would up-level their business and resonate with students, teachers, and parents alike.

Seesaw is used by hundreds of thousands of students across the country each day to learn, create, and share work.

The brand hadn’t been revisited since their launch in 2014; we set out to build something that would instill pride in Seesaw team members and feel accessible and engaging to the students using the product.

We started by first developing a core set of brand attributes to guide the rebrand.

After days workshopping with the team and visiting local classrooms we were inspired by the theme of “imagining the possibilities” with Seesaw in hand.

We dreamed up a world of learning with sparks, swooshes, hand drawn lettering, and fun containers.

Bright pops of color energize the design and evoke the joy of learning. The blank page of possibility is expressed through large blocks of tan and white.

The type system is punctuated by hand-drawn notations that speak to teachers and students.

Illustrative elements uniquely elevate the spirit of the design system. Sparks and swooshes express magic learning moments and emphasize key info.
